Who We Are

Storm Ashwood Projects is a South Australian film company dedicated to bold, psychologically rich storytelling. We develop and produce films that blend elevated genre with prestige drama—stories driven by character, moral tension and visceral cinematic craft. Our work confronts the complexities of the human condition while delivering emotionally charged, audience-gripping cinema.

Our Founder

The company is led by filmmaker Storm Ashwood, an Australian writer, director and producer known for his distinctive fusion of visceral storytelling and psychological depth. With an Honours degree in Film Psychoanalysis and Philosophy, Storm’s work excavates themes of trauma, shame, conscience and redemption with unflinching honesty.

Storm has written and directed two feature films—The School (2018) and Escape and Evasion (2019)—as well as award-winning shorts, commercials and music videos. His films have screened at festivals, secured international distribution, and reached global audiences through streaming platforms.

Current Project: The Secret Moon

Our flagship project, The Secret Moon, is a prestige thriller centred on a 14-year-old Afghan girl whose desperate bank robbery exposes systemic corruption. Tense, emotional and morally urgent, the film is designed for top-tier talent, festival pathways and an aligned impact campaign. Production is targeted for South Australia, 2026 with an international partnership group in place.
